Louder than words
A Poem
if my tears could tell you that falling on a pillow
hurts more than falling from the sky
would you wipe them away and
hold me tight
if you saw a million stars
every time you look at me
would you take another look and
linger your sight
if my pain could paint pictures
of a desolate life
would you run your finger down my cheek and
tell me it’ll be alright
if my lips left scars
like yours often do
would you whisper sweet-nothings
after our next fight
if you knew that I had a thousand words to say
even when I least want to talk
would you speak the language of silence
knowing it can
speak much louder than words might
